Bowling Green, KY – Tuition is going up at Western Kentucky University. Resident undergraduates will pay 5% more for tuition at the university. That means they will pay almost $3,800 for the 2010-11 school year, compared to 3,600 for 2009-10. Nonresident undergraduate tuition will increase 5.9%.
Vice president for Finance and Administration Ann Mead says the revenue generated by the increase "is absolutely essential" to balance the university's operating budget.
