Paducah, KY – A Paducah School officials meeting yesterday adjourned without a clear decision on where to build a new middle school. The proposed sites include: the existing school's location on Lone Oak Road, including a residential area behind the campus and a 19-acre plot in the Forest Hills area. The Paducah Sun reports Superintendent Randy Greene hopes to reach a verdict at the next meeting in mid-July. Many residents who would have to leave their homes if a new school breaks ground near the current building voiced mixed reactions at the meeting. Some expressed support; and others spoke of fears the current school would be left vacant and dilapidated if construction breaks ground in Forest Hills.
