Clarksville, TN – Clarksville, Tennessee Marina contractor TMS says it needs 144 more days to finish up ground work at the site. Work began almost a year ago and was supposed to last 150 days. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports the city has voiced willingness to accept an extension proposal. However, Mayor Johnny Piper yesterday blasted the proposal, saying there is significant disagreement on key dates. TMS proposes to have the project's first phase completed in November, with work finished by March of next year. Subcontracting firms declaring bankruptcy and last month's Cumberland River flooding are among factors delaying completion.
