Fort Campbell, KY – The Department of Defense reports three more Fort Campbell soldiers have died while fighting in Afghanistan. 31 year-old Staff Sergeant Eric Shaw of Exeter, Maine and 40 year-old Specialist David Thomas of St. Petersburg, Florida died Sunday from small arms enemy fire. 25-year-old Staff Sergeant Brandon Silk of Orono, Maine died when his Blackhawk helicopter made a hard landing. All three men were members of the 101st Airborne Division. 21 Fort Campbell soldiers have lost their lives in Afghanistan since the beginning of June.
