Nashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Safety officials say roadway fatalities over the Fourth of July holiday period were well below last year's figures. Nine fatalities occurred across the state, down from 16 last year: six were in vehicles, two on motorcycles and one was a pedestrian. Only one case is found to be alcohol related.
