Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan – Major General John Campbell spoke to Fort Campbell families yesterday from Afghanistan via live video teleconference. The 101st Airborne Division commanding general offered words of encouragement, saying he sees progress every day and praises his soldiers for doing great work. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports Campbell also addressed the fact his division has lost 27 soldiers since March and predicts the remainder of summer will be very tough'. Despite the serious note, Campbell remained positive saying over the course of the deployment there will be a better story to be told.
