McCracken Co. Rescue Dispatched to Search

By Chris Taylor

Paducah, KY – McCracken County rescue workers are looking for a possible second person killed in a wreck Wednesday on the I-24 Bridge over the Ohio River. 29-year-old Michael Cozart's family reported him missing yesterday. He was last seen getting into a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Donald Winn, who died in the accident about ten minutes later. Winn was stopped in the eastbound lane, securing a ladder to his truck when the collision occurred. Investigators theorize Cozart may have been outside the truck at the time of the crash and could have been knocked off the bridge. The Paducah Sun reports rescue teams were sweeping the river last night. Cozart is described as 6-foot-2 with short, blond hair last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
