Hopkins County, KY – A Hopkins County teenager died over the weekend as a result of accidental gunfire. 15-year-old Chan Davis was at his home with friends looking at the gun when a friend accidentally fired the gun. Davis died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the face. Kentucky State Police do not suspect foul play. This is the second accidental gunshot wound related death in the Commonwealth during the weekend. An 18-year-old Webster County girl also died Saturday after accidental gunfire.
