Murray, KY – Pre-season statistics show Murray State's Racer basketball team as one of the top 50 teams in the United States. Collegehoops.net ranked the Racers at number 47, up ten spots from last year. Purdue came in at number one followed by Duke, Michigan State and Kentucky. Butler, who beat Murray State by just two points to knock them out of the 2010 NCAA tournament, came in a number eight. The Racers welcome four new-comers and eight veteran players for the 2010-2011 season.
