Paducah, KY – Recent Fiscal Court action criticizing McCracken County Clerk Jeff Jerrell's policies and his time worked has prompted a Paducah woman to challenge Jerrell in the November election as a write-in candidate. Becky Smith Bowers will announce her platform this afternoon at the McCracken County Courthouse. Bowers tells the Paducah Sun if elected, she would hand the Clerk's financial reigns over to the Fiscal Court. Bowers' name will not appear on the ballot and voters will have to write her name in to elect her.
