Murray, KY – A part of Chesnut Street that runs through Murray State University remains closed as workers install a new drainage pipe. Assistant Director for Facilities Design and Construction David Brickeen says an extra drainage pipe was needed to help choked water flow. The project between the Information and Technology building and the University Church of Christ will be finished in September. Brickeen says the part on Chesnut Street should be completed by early next week. The work is paid for by a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant.
