Cadiz, KY – The five Trigg County men accused of raping a 16-year-old girl two years ago read public apologies to their victim in Trigg Circuit Court yesterday. 22-year-old Marcus Mayes and 21-year-olds Christopher Futrell, Nicholas King, Devon Morris and Michael Oakley pleaded guilty in May to second-degree assault. The Paducah Sun reports the men's five-year deferred sentences will see those convictions nullified if they do not violate the terms of their agreement. The men must avoid other charges, maintain employment, submit to drug testing and stay away from the girl and her family.
