Paducah, KY – A Paducah man is in custody on assault and wanton endangerment charges after admitting to police he intentionally hit a moped with his truck. 47-year-old Paul Eugene Cornwell remains in McCracken County Jail. Witnesses tell police Cornwell accelerated before swerving to hit the moped driven by James Jenkins. Jenkins suffered injuries and is hospitalized. Detective Brian Laird says the incident may be related to an ongoing dispute between the two men.
