Lexington, KY – The mother of Amanda Ross, the Lexington woman shot to death in the parking lot of her gated community last Semptember, has filed a lawsuit alleging the man charged was allowed access after there was an active emergency protective order against him. Diana M. Ross filed the lawsuit last week in Fayette Circuit Court as personal representative of the estate of Amanda Ross.
Former state Representative Steve Nunn has been charged with murder and has pleaded not guilty. The prosecution is seeking the death penalty. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the defendants in the lawsuit are Opera House Square I LTD., as well as several townhouse and homeowners' associations. The lawsuit seeks an undetermined amount of cash and a jury trial.
