Fort Campbell, Ky. – The Department of Defense reports three more Fort Campbell soldier deaths in Afghanistan. 29 year old Matthew Weikert of Jacksonville, Illinois died Saturday in the Paktika Province when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Sgt. 1st Class John Jarrell, 32, of Brunson, South Carolina and 30-year-old Sgt. Leston Winters of Sour Lake, Texas died Thursday in Kandahar, also from an I.E.D. These three soldiers bring the total Fort Campbell casualties in Afghanistan to 30 since June 1.
