Paducah, Ky. – Folks looking to travel to or from Illinois through Paducah late this morning would have found both main thoroughfares shut down. An accident at about 10 AM on the I-24 bridge stopped traffic going both directions for two hours. Then at 11:15, a minor accident closed the Paducah-Brookport Bridge for 20 minutes. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd reports, there were no major damages to the bridges. The McCracken County Sheriff's office confirmed there were no fatalities at either crash site.
