Paducah, KY – A consultant for the city of Paducah says the downtown master plan he's developing may recommend building two small hotels rather than one large next to the Julian Carroll Convention Center. CityVisions consultant Barry Alberts tells the Paducah Riverfront Development Authority one of those would be built where the Executive Inn now stands serving convention-goers. Building a second hotel at the city's Second Street parking lot near Jefferson Street would serve the Carson Center, Quilt Museum and river industry among other institutions. The Paducah Sun reports Alberts' official recommendation won't be complete until early next year.
