Murray, KY – The cases of five people charged in connection to a Murray home invasion last week will go to a grand jury. Calloway District Judge Randall Hutchens set a hearing for later next month. 20-year-old Terrence Silas and 32-year-old Cortez Beckman face charges of attempted murder after allegedly breaking into the home of Murray businessman Chuck Wynn. The Paducah Sun reports an exchange of gunfire wounded Wynn and Silas, prompting the invaders to retreat. Silas' brother, 25-year-old Monta Harper, is charged with tampering with evidence after police say he attempted to hide the handgun used by the two men. Wynn's former employees 18-year-olds Laken Knight and Haley Petty are accused of facilitation to burglary for driving the men.
