Madisonville, KY – A Madisonville man is in custody after escaping police and holding a man hostage for about an hour at a home on Elk Trace. 28-year-old Brandon Polley is charged with escape and unlawful taking of a vehicle and firearm. The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department says hostage negotiators from the Madisonville Police Department resolved the situation quickly and without incident.
