Nashville, TN – Tennessee state officials say more than 150,000 have already voted early for the August election. According to the Tennessee Department of the State, that many people voted in the first five days and if voting continues at that pace, the number could more than double the 209,000 who voted early in the August 2008 election.
Secretary of State Tre Hargett says he's pleased with the early voting turnout and says the numbers show that it's a popular option. Early voting continues through July 31st.
