Grants Awarded in Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky – Governor Steve Beshear announced Monday, five western Kentucky counties and cities get a piece of $600,000 in Land and Water Conservation grants. The program is geared toward the development and maintenance of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. The Ballard County Fiscal Court received $65,000 for recreational park improvements. Princeton received $26,000 for a playground. Dawson Springs got $65,000 for lights and RV hookups at Riverside Park. Eddyville received $30,000 for public pool repairs. And Marshall County Fiscal Court received $70,000 for the Mike Miller County Park Water Spray-pad.
