Bowling Green, KY – Western Kentucky University set a record for cash donations for the last fiscal year. The University garnered $19 million dollars through the fiscal year ending June 30th. The Bowling Green Daily News reported that the total was up 39% over the $13.6 million from the previous fiscal year. The university's chief fundraiser, Vice President for Institutional Advancement Tom Hiles, says the increase came from a bump in corporate donations. Hiles' success as a fundraiser comes as he prepares to leave Western Kentucky University. He'll take a similar position at Bowling Green State University in Ohio in August.
