Cadiz, Ky. – Cadiz officials are seeking federal grants to develop business and tourism in Trigg County. Business Incubation Projects of Western Kentucky president Linda Humbert says members from their organization met last week with Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo to discuss two pending projects. Destination Cadiz focuses on building the tourism industry. It's planned to be a 15,000-square-foot, two-story building housing up to 20 small businesses including restaurants, galleries, and shops. The Green Tech Business Center will focus on sustainable ecologically oriented businesses. Plans for both projects are contingent on receiving $3 million in federal grant funding for each project. The funds could be awarded as early as October.
