Honeywell Negotiations Resume

By Angela Hatton

Metropolis, IL – Negotiators for Honeywell Corporation and the United Steel Workers union are back at the bargaining table after nearly a month of hiatus. Workers have been locked out of the Metropolis nuclear fuel plant since late June. Their contract with Honeywell expired, and officials have been unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. Temporary and salaried workers continue to fill in for around 220 union employees. Honeywell and USW plan to release statements at the end of negotiations today.
