Paducah, KY – Paducah is upgrading the software it uses to keep up with property tax information. The city currently uses software from the late 80s and the upgrade is expected to eliminate duplicate accounting work in the city's Finance Department. It will also pave the way for accepting online property tax payments. Paducah commissioners yesterday approved an ordinance that will pay Pennsylvania-based software company SunGard almost $100,000 for licensing, training and upgrades.
