Clarksville, TN – Publix grocery store officials break ground soon at Clarksville's former Gateway Medical Center site on Madison Street. The event marks the completion of the multi-million dollar retail deal that will see the abandoned property changed into a shopping center. Clarksville's Morgan Contractors are expected to demolish the old hospital building within four to six months. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports city and county government played a major role in securing the deal, approving a tax incentive designed to offset demolition costs.
