Paducah, Ky. – A Paducah man convicted of molesting two children received a 25-year prison sentence. McCracken Circuit Judge Tim Kaltenbach sentenced 38 year-old Robert F. Bivens yesterday for molesting an eight-year-old and a 14-year-old. Bivens pleaded guilty in return for the 25-year sentence recommendation. Otherwise, he could have faced life in prison. Bivens must also register for a lifetime as a sex offender. With nearly a year of credit in jail since his arrest, he could be eligible for parole in just over 19 years. Bivens also faces child rape charges in Tennessee.
