Murray, KY – Murray State University's Regional Business and Innovation Center has begun an initiative to investigate biomass opportunities in western Kentucky. The West Kentucky AgBioworks includes several regional organizations. Participants plan to work to develop a profitable network of biomass producers and businesses. They hope to use oilseeds, sugar crops, trees, and other crops for alternative energy. The Governor's Office of Ag Policy provides funding for the project.
