West Tennessee – The Western District of Tennessee's new U.S. attorney has been confirmed. Edward L. Stanton III, 38, will be the chief prosecutor of all federal crimes in West Tennessee. President Barack Obama had endorsed the former FedEx lawyer for the position. Stanton's jurisdiction will cover the 22 counties west of the Tennessee River, including Obion, Weakley and Henry counties.
