Ky. State Police seize more than 800 marijuana plants in latest sweep

Pennyrile region, Ky. – Kentucky State Police have continued an offensive against marijuana with a sweep through five Pennyrile area counties. Last week's canvas turned up more than 800 marijuana plants between Caldwell, Christian, Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Todd counties. The KSP destroyed the plants, estimated at more than $1.5 million in value. State Police report, they have made no arrests at this time. They plan to continue marijuana eradication efforts throughout the summer.

Following is a county-by-county breakdown of marijuana plants seized:
Caldwell County: 73
Christian County: 112
Hopkins County: 377
Muhlenberg County: 153
Todd County: 111
