Current McCracken Developers Want Changes to Apply to Them

By Chris Taylor

Paducah, KY – McCracken Fiscal Court members may soon discuss applying the latest changes of new subdivision regulations to existing developments. Last month, the County changed the percentage of how much a lot must be developed before assuming responsibility for the streets. New subdivisions currently require lots to be 10 percent developed, down from 25 percent. Judge-Executive Van Newberry says the change is designed to spur construction and job growth. The Paducah Sun reports two developers have requested their already-established lots become eligible under the new rule.
