Oak Grove, KY – A ten-year-old child from Oak Grove faces felony arson charges for deliberately setting fire to a shed. Oak Grove Police Sergeant Vincent Brown says the child was deemed too young for arrest, but he appears in court next week for second degree arson charges. They carry a 10 to 20 year jail penalty. The Kentucky New Era reports the child's parents do not face any charges. Brown says this was one of two fires set in one day by children. The first occurred when a six and eleven-year-old were playing in a trailer park. That fire was ruled accidental. Brown says no one was hurt in either blaze.
