Ledbetter, KY – A firm could begin construction on the new Ledbetter bridge between Livingston and McCracken counties as early as the end of the month. Transportation Engineering Branch Manager Mike McGregor says Kay and Kay Construction won the bid. They have to set up a contract with state officials before they go ahead with work. McGregor says the new bridge will be built a thousand feet downriver from the old bridge. He expects the project to take at least two to three years.
