Paducah, KY – West Kentucky Community & Technical College is the beneficiary of nearly a half million dollar gift from a late Paducah couple. Hugh Frederic and Mary Louise Tanner Barber left a trust to fund a nursing scholarship at the school. Spokeswoman Rebecca Haus says the couple lived a remarkable life and shared a desire to advance WKCTC's nursing program. Minorities and students in financial need will be eligible to apply beginning next year.
