Frankfort, KY – Governor Steve Beshear has announced a design competition for a specialty small business license plate in Kentucky. The initiative is meant to raise awareness of the impact of small businesses in the state. Beshear says more than 90% of the employer firms in Kentucky have 50 or fewer workers.
The competition runs through November 10th and is open to any Kentucky-based business with 50 or fewer employees. There's no fee to submit a design, but the design must be offered by a qualifying small business. The winning design will be selected by the Kentucky Commission on Small Business Advocacy and submitted to the state Transportation Cabinet for final approval.
