Crofton, KY – A company that proposed to build a fish plant in Christian County has backed down on its offer. Perfect Ocean announced last year it planned to build a fish plant near Crofton that would employ over two-hundred people. Company spokesman Austin Davis says officials changed their mind because tax incentives in Indiana were better than what Kentucky offered. The Kentucky New Era reports Christian County had voted to help the company obtain industrial bonds. Davis says Perfect Ocean may consider Kentucky for a future fish plant.
