Dixon, KY – Webster County's Warrior Coal LLC will pay some $410,000 in fines from the Kentucky Department of Natural Resources. The Alliance Coal subsidiary received citations earlier in the year. The most costly occurred April for mining outside the company's permit area. That cost the company $375,000. The additional $35,000 levied against Warrior Coal claim the company mined within their limits, but before the permit went into effect. Alliance Coal has appealed all citations and plans on the same with the new fines.
