Murray, KY – Murray-Calloway County Parks officials want to impose a $250 fine for anyone found on park grounds after closing time. Board members are seeking authorization from city and county leaders after voting unanimously to create the fine. The move is designed to deter after-hours vandalism. In the past year, vandals broke into the historic Waters Schoolhouse and the city's pool leaving behind minor damage. The Murray Ledger reports if City Council and Calloway County Fiscal Court members approve the fine, signs will posted at the park's entrance to warn trespassers.
