Cadiz, KY – A Trigg County man charged with attempting to commit a sex crime is an employee of Trigg County Schools. Kentucky State Police arrested 38-year-old David Thomas, yesterday afternoon. Thomas is the district's technology coordinator. He faces felony charges for allegedly sending electronic messages to a female minor in an attempt to commit a sex crime. District Superintendent Travis Hamby hopes the situation is a misunderstanding, but acknowledges his first goal is to protect the students. Hamby says Thomas' future with the district is pending an investigation, until then he is no longer allowed on campus.
