2 Fort Campbell Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

Fort Campbell, KY – Two Fort Campbell soldiers were killed after their vehicle rolled over following an improvised explosive device detonating in Afghanistan. The Department of Defense says 24-year-old Private First Class Benjamen Chisholm of Fort Worth, Texas, and 21-year-old Private Charles High the Fourth, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Tuesday in Kunar Province. Both were assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.

Chisholm entered the Army in August 2008 and arrived in Fort Campbell in January 2009. High entered the Army in June 2007 and arrived at Fort Campbell in October 2007.

A memorial service will be held for the fallen in Afghanistan. Fort Campbell also holds a monthly Eagle Remembrance Ceremony. The next ceremony will be held September 8th at 4:00 p.m.
