Golden Pond, KY – Land Between the Lakes officials are seeking public input on proposals to improve the wildlife habitat of about 500 acres. The plan is to make salvage cuts, harvesting trees permanently damaged by the 2009 ice storm. LBL foresters propose to remove about 40 percent of hardwood trees in the Hurricane Creek and Grace Creek Restoration areas. The timber is planned to be sold with proceeds benefiting LBL habitat management programs.
