Graves County, KY – A Graves County judge sentenced Joanal Deberry to three years in prison on animal cruelty charges. Police arrested Deberry and his wife Amy in November 2008, and seized dozens of dogs from their property. Many animals sustained wounds consistent with dog fighting. The Judge's ruling came after Deberry entered an Alford Plea last month, meaning he did not admit guilt, but admitted there was enough evidence to convict him.
