Metropolis, IL – Honeywell corporation officials have offered new negotiation dates to the United Steel Workers union in Metropolis. The union had sent date suggestions earlier this week. Honeywell spokesman Peter Dalpe hopes to have a specific time to announce by week's end. Representatives from both sides last met for bargaining August 10. Workers at the nuclear fuel plant have been locked out without a contract since the end of June. Dalpe says Honeywell remains committed to a solution that is fair and ensures future revenue. The plant faces a twenty million dollar revenue loss this year.
