Metropolis, IL – Representatives from Honeywell and the United Steel Workers union won't be back at the bargaining table until October. The company and union set October 11 and 12 to resume negotiations. Honeywell also announced it will continue to pay for employee health and life insurance for the month of September. Officials have stated as the lock-out continues, they will decide on a month-to-month basis whether to continue coverage. That includes 220 union workers and their families. Honeywell is also nearing completion on a training program to get temporary workers ready to produce the final product, uranium hexafluoride, or UF-6. A published statement says final inspections by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission are next week.
