Former EMS Head Accuses County Mayor of 'Bullying'

By Chris Taylor

Clarksville, TN – The former head of Montgomery County's Emergency Medical Services claims he was threatened with "public embarrassment" by County Mayor Carolyn Bowers. Former Director Wes Klein says Bowers "micromanaged" his department. The accusation comes after Bowers announced Klein's retirement earlier this month where she also noted 60 of Klein's personnel were not current with recertification training. Bowers tells the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle two consecutive audits showed Klein's department was unsatisfactory overall.
