Knoxville, TN – The Tennessee Valley Authority's top executive is expected to answer questions behind closed doors for seven hours today about the utility's coal ash spill in east Tennessee. TVA CEO Tom Kilgore will answer questions by lawyers hired by people filing damage lawsuits. The session is closed to reporters. A 2008 breach in an earthen dam sent over 5 million cubic yards of ash into the Emory River and onto surrounding landscape at TVA's Kingston Plant. TVA unsuccessfully opposed the deposition.
