Clarksville, TN – In a massive reorganization effort Montgomery County, Tennessee Sheriff Norman Lewis is reassigning 21 positions at his department. Lewis promoted four officers to Lieutenants, two of which replace outgoing retirees and two others will fill new responsibilities. Lewis tells the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle shifting the many other positions around sets the stage for the next four years in order to better serve increases in calls for service and the local jail population. Lewis says the changes mostly involve improving officers' shift rotation to help prevent them from feeling burned out.
