Murray, KY – The Murray State Racer football team and new head coach Chris Hatcher opened the season with a loss playing up a division at Ohio's Kent State University yesterday. The Golden Flashes beat the Racers 41 to 10.
The Austin Peay Governors won their season opener at home against Cumberland University 38 to 6.
