Carbondale, IL – Enrollment figures at Southern Illinois University Carbondale have fallen 1.5% over the last year. The latest enrollment numbers show just over 20,000 students are attending this fall with much of the drop coming in the freshman and sophomore classes. The University is reviewing and altering enrollment and retention efforts in what they hope will bring higher new student enrollment numbers soon.
