Murray, KY – Four candidates for the Murray State University faculty regent made remarks at yesterday's Faculty Senate meeting. English and Philosophy Professor Kevin Binfield, Education professor Jack Rose, Social Work professor Peggy Pittman-Munke and government, law, and international affairs professor Mark Wattier all vie for the recently vacant Faculty Regent position. All candidates said salaries was one of their biggest priorities. Dr. Jay Morgan left his spot to fulfill his new duties as assistant provost. Voting begins Thursday and runs through Friday.
